From Church To Emerging Church DVD Series by Sandy Simpson The issue of the Emerging Church and it's introduction into many churches and mission organizations has reached a critical point. Many do not undersand what is being leavened into churches by the EC leadership. Many would be shocked to know their belief systems involve Universalism, New Age, defense of postmodernism, Interfaithism, and many other false doctrines. In order to reach out to this generation the EC leadership is proposing a whole new "map" to deal with what they perceive is a lack of understanding on the part of the churches on how to communicate. EC proponants believe the "scripture" for today is evolving and must change in order to reach postmoderns. Go here to order this 2-DVD set! Visit Our Products Page! |

MORIEL MINISTRIES
is a teaching ministry to believers stressing the need to rediscover the scriptures as Hebraic literature (as opposed to Hellenistic literature), demanding the hermeneutic models of Second Temple Period Judaism as a basis in biblical interpretation.
Essentially this means an attempt to rediscover the methods of interpretation used by the New Testament writers.
We note the Sitz in Leben of biblical Jewish culture along the lines of various scholars, but in order to see the greater depth of contained meaning we adopt an understanding of early midrashic models in addition to conventional grammatical-historical models of interpretation.
However, we reject as Gnostic any attempts to build doctrinal theology on symbolism or typology, although we press the need to use typology and allegory to illustrate and illuminate doctrine.

DITC e-Newsletter Volume 33, Issue 10 |
Dear All,
There are so many disgusting things happening in the realm of "Christendom" today that it is a wonder that unbelievers have any respect for Christians anymore. The fact that true believers often do not stand for the truth against those who use "every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God" (2 Cor. 10:5) shows a lack of the love of the truth. Standing for truth carries with it a cost, but in order for people to be saved they need to hear and see the truth in the lives of believers who denounce sin and wickedness that masquerades as "Christianity". --- Please consider ordering one of our products or making a donation. As always, you can see the DITC e-Newsletter archive here and sign up to receive this newsletter or unsubscribe there as well. |
The Queering of America's Churches | by Devvy Kidd News With Views, 6/14/11 Shame on the churches in this country who condone that which God has called an abomination. God's laws and what he commands us to do in our lives isn't a fad. God's laws and what he commands us to do has not changed over the millenniums, only people have by cultural influences. It's easier to embrace sin than to live as our Creator has commanded. For decades, the created have mocked God by willfully accepting a bastardized version of His word all in the name of political correctness and tolerance...... Click here to read this article! |
The forgotten command of Discipleship for personal growth, multiplication and health of the church
| by Mike Oppenheimer, 6/14/11
We are to be "Holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught" (Titus 1:9). Paul explains God's preservation process for the church is to continue, "The things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also" (2 Timothy 2:2). The modern church has a problem: few are able to teach, few are faithful men.

The Cost for Being Careless About the Gospel
| by Lighthouse Trails, 6/14/11
You may recall that in the Old Testament the Israelites took great pains in transporting the Ark of the Covenant. According to the instructions given by God to Moses (Exodus 25:13-15), the Ark was to be carried by staves (poles) on the shoulders of the Levites (1 Chronicles 15:15). However, in 1 Chronicles 13:7-10, contrary to Moses' specific instructions, they put the Ark on a cart to be pulled by oxen. But the unexpected happened. When "Uzza put forth his hand to hold the ark, for the oxen stumbled . . . the anger of the Lord was kindled against Uzza, and he smote him" (1 Chronicles 13:9-10). The Levites, who were the "pastors" of that day, were careless about following Moses' instructions; and it ended up costing a life. The Ark of the Covenant was a type and foreshadowing of the Gospel. It was sprinkled with blood to symbolize Christ's death on the Cross. Today, similar to back then, so many pastors and Christian leaders have become careless about the Gospel. If you are one who has grown careless with the Gospel, isn't it time to make some changes and return to following the instructions of the Lord?
