Think on These Things Ministries is a vital outreach ministry of Southern View Chapel. Think on These Things, which began in 1994, was originally the name of a one-page paper created for a mission agency, who wanted to keep their missionaries informed of the theological landscape in America and around the world.
Today, Think on These Things has grown into a monthly publication that deals with contemporary theological issues, and is sent to subscribers in nearly every state in the U.S. and to numerous countries around the world. In addition to the monthly articles, Think on These Things Ministries hosts Bible conferences and serves as the publishing arm of Southern View Chapel, featuring the writing ministry of Pastor Gary Gilley, who has authored several books including, Is That You Lord?: Hearing the Voice of the Lord, a Biblical Perspective, This Little Church Stayed Home, This Little Church Went to Market, and "I Just Wanted More Land"-Jabez.
Think on These Things is currently funded by Southern View Chapel and the generous gifts of its readers. While each issue of Think on These Things is available through our website, many receive a monthly subscription through the mail or email. To subscribe to this FREE publication, you may contact us at lkestner@svchapel.org.

DITC e-Newsletter Volume 34, Issue 2 |
Dear All,
When whole denominations are now devaluing the Gospel and the Truth of God's Word by schmoozing with false religions, it is no wonder that the view of Christianity in the world is that it is not something to be sought or desired. --- Please consider ordering one of our products or making a donation. As always, you can see the DITC e-Newsletter archive here and sign up to receive this newsletter or unsubscribe there as well. |

What would Jesus think? Churches now promote Islam - Spiritual treason' seen as 'something hostile to Jesus Christ himself'
| by Michael Carl, WND, 6/24/11
Dozens of Christian churches, from Park Hill Congregational in Denver to Hillview United Methodist in Boise, Idaho, and First United Lutheran in San Francisco to St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church in Honolulu, are planning to send "a message both here at home and to the Arab and Muslim world about our respect for Islam" with a time to read the Quran during worship this Sunday. It's not just wrong, but dangerous, according to Christian trends analysts.

| by End Time Delusion, 6/25/11
Ever since his resounding victory over man in the Garden of Eden, the enemy has recognized that the best place to attack is at the weak point in human nature - man's sense of pride and ego. The more Satan can inflate man's sense of pride and attack his sense of humility, the more victories will be won in his name.

The Value of Our Souls - What Price Are You?
| by Lighthouse Trails, 6/27/11
In our last article, How Much Does the Gospel Weigh?, we examined the idea of placing a value on the Gospel. We saw how the prophet Zechariah had predicted centuries before that the price man would place on Jesus would be "weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver" (Zechariah 11:13). All of this was predicted and then happened about five hundred years later as if God was making a profound statement on how Jesus, who was despised and betrayed by man for so very little, from God's perspective had immeasurable value. What Jesus did for us at Calvary cannot be measured by monetary value; in fact, as we have seen, the Gospel becomes the standard by which everything else is valued and measured. Now, for the moment, let's turn our thoughts to ourselves, and again using the idea of placing a value on something, examine our value, both from man's perspective and God's perspective.
