FEATURE ARTICLE

The feature article in this newsletter is actually a short booklet by Travers and Jewel van der Merwe called "Strange Fire: The Rise Of Gnosticism In The Church".  Although written in 1995, it is very appropiate to what is going on in the Third Wave "New Apostolic Reformation" of today.  The booklet is too long to send via e-mail, so the following link is provided for those who can browse the web:

Strange Fire - The Rise Of Gnosticism In The Church by Travers and Jewel van der Merwe, 1995

Compare the doctrines of early Christian Gnosticm, the later doctrines of Latter Rain and Kingdom Now theologies, with the current teachings such as those by the Toronto "Blessing", Brownsville A/G, Rodney Howard-Browne, Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, C. Peter Wagner, Ed Silvoso, Youth Alive, Alpha Course & Youth Alpha Course, the FDBC Singapore Cell Group materials, the Lighthouse Movement, and many others.  You will see the gnostic roots in the modern apostate church tree clearly.

In Christ,
Sandy Simpson, missionary
