Mistake or Sin
"Mistake" or "Sin"?
by Sandy Simpson
This DVD is a message based on this article.
Today we often hear the word "mistake" coming from pulpits, and especially in defense of false teaching and false prophesy.  "Cut him some slack!  He just made some mistakes".  "We all make mistakes, so don't judge lest you be judged."  We even hear the word "mistakes" being substituted for the word "sin" in many presentations of what I have termed "Gospel Lite" today. So is it proper to substitute the word "mistake" for the word "sin"?  We'll look at the problem of one word "mistakenly" being used for the other.

Dear Friends,

Check out my newest DVD called "Mistake or Sin?"  Today we often hear the word "mistake" coming from pulpits, and especially in defense of false teaching and false prophesy.

Today it was announced that Pope Francis would deliver a video message to help unite Christians in the "Next Great Awakening" at Together 2016, joining in the ecumaniacal gathering. Together 2016, also known as The Reset Movement, bringing together different religions in an effort to erase the lines of doctrinal divisions. Nick Hall, the founder of PULSE, a prayer and evangelism movement to empower the church and awaken the culture to Jesus, says adding the Pope to the lineup is the best news yet. "We are humbled and honored by his involvement and are eager to share his message with the crowd that gathers at Together 2016," Hall said in a statement, reacting to the announcement that the pope has added his name to the list of speakers. "That His Holiness would choose to speak into this historic day is a testament to the urgency and the need for followers of Jesus to unite in prayer for our nation and our world." Hall is the college pastor who came up with the idea of uniting pastors and Christian leaders from all denominational backgrounds to join 1 million people at the free event "in hopes of inspiring true revival in the America."

I remember in 1994 when reading this book "Perpetuated in Righteousness" by Daniel Kikawa, I would meet a person that would become a life long friend of mine to this day. This person is Mike Oppenheimer. He broke down the problems in Kikawa's book for me person to person. I can roughly summarize, but for all the information, see Mike Oppenheimer's original work on this teaching found here Perpetuated in Righteousness or Perpetuating a Modern Myth.

Spiritual Warfare: The Unseen Foe Behind Rising Evil
by Berit Kjos, 6/14/16 Crossroad

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron..." 1 Timothy  4:1-2 We don't hear much about spiritual warfare these days. Most churches seem to ignore the reality of Satan and the evil he inspires. God's warnings about fellowship with the world's alluring thrills doesn't fit the contemporary image of Jesus as a tolerant, easy-going friend.
