| Those who try to deconstruct the Trinity |

These days every core doctrine of the Church is under extraordinary attack. One of the most important core doctrines is that of the Trinity, the Triune God ... "God is one God eternally existent in Three Persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit". Another way of stating it is "God is one "What" and three "Whos" with each "Who" possessing all the attributes of Deity and personality". I am going to lay out the general case first against any teachings that intentionally or unintentionally try to deconstruct who God is, in particular who Jesus Christ is. I will then move on to a few specific cases and answer their assertions individually.

What you need to find is a church that not only has orthodox doctrinal statements but teaches, both explicitly and implicitly, in line with the core doctrines of the Faith. These are Bible-believing Christ-centered churches that are balanced in their theology. Be sure to test all churches before you become involved. |
| "Take away from me the noise of your songs" |

Amos 5:21-27 "I hate, I reject your festivals, nor do I delight in your solemn assemblies. "Even though you offer up to Me burnt offerings and your grain offerings, I will not accept them; and I will not even look at the peace offerings of your fatlings. "Take away from Me the noise of your songs; I will not even listen to the sound of your harps. "But let justice roll down like waters and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream. Did you present Me with sacrifices and grain offerings in the wilderness for forty years, O house of Israel? You also carried along Sikkuth your king and Kiyyun, your images, the star of your gods which you made for yourselves. Therefore, I will make you go into exile beyond Damascus," says the Lord, whose name is the God of hosts.
When I first reread this passage in Amos, a few things struck me. First of all the Lord is bringing judgment on Israel for carrying on religious ceremony without true dedication to the Lord. They sing songs and present their offerings while harboring idols. I was reminded of how the Lord must view the heretical apostate mega church celebrations of today. There is a lot of pomp and circumstance, yet little or no obedience to the Word of God. The Lord does not look favorably upon worship of that type, no matter the hype, no matter the noise, no matter the show. He actually "hates" it.

| The Strange interpretations of Bill Johnson's teachings |

Because of Bill Johnson's adherence to the Latter Rain teaching of William Branham (and others), Johnson has a slanted interpretation of Scripture. One example is one the most important Scriptures revealing to us who Jesus is. "Most all of the experiences of Jesus recorded in Scripture were prophetic examples of the realms in God that are made available to the believer. The Mount of Transfiguration raised the bar significantly on potential human experience...The overwhelming lesson in this story is that Jesus Christ, the Son of man, had the glory of God upon Him. Jesus's face shone with God's glory, similar to Moses's after he came down from the mountain..." ("Face to Face with God" 2007, Charisma House, Lake Mary, FL; p 200.) The glory came from within him, not from outside. This glory was the same that was in the Old Testament Temple. This is what is expressed by John "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." (Jn.1:14) Its purpose was to show his closest disciples who he really is, not who they are or what is available to them. Nor is it available to us today. Branham used the word realm as well, Johnson applies it to believers when it is exclusively about who Jesus is.
