The Forgotten Facts about Michael Brown of Brownsville

Dr. Brown has been making the rounds of evangelical church gatherings and conferences presenting himself as an authority on Judaism and the truth of Scripture. His latest conference, where he is listed first as a plenary speaker, is the NCCA (National Conference on Christian Apologetics) put on by Southern Evangelical Seminary (SBC) and held at Calvary Church in Charlotte. Looks good except for one glaring problem. Michael Brown. This guy has been inserting himself in all kinds of apologetics and Jewish studies conferences. He carries with him an unrepenant participation in the Brownsville "Outpouring" that split hundreds of churches worldwide with the false teachings of the Latter Rain. He lied to Holly Pivec of Spirit of Error by saying there was no such thing as the New Apostolic Reformation. He is a clear wolf in sheep's clothing. There are some good knowledgable people particiapting in this conference but I would not spend a dime to hear his diaprax. Please warn others about this. This from a man who is actually an adherent of Latter Rain teachings, associate and participant with many New Apostolic members (for an older membership list go here and who has never repented of the false teachings of Brownsville in which he participated as a leader and that split many churches around the world along doctrinal lines. I have a number of articles about him on my site. I started collecting articles exposing the Brownsville "Revival" back in 1996 because of the lies being told by its leadership. I wanted to leave a historical record of what went on, of the false teachings and false prophecies, so that they could not dupe people with false information they are putting out there. Such is the case with Michael Brown, one of the leaders in that movement. Following is evidence of his guilt by participation in the Third Wave. My hope is that Bible-believing, Christ-centered Christian organizations will quit associating with him.

Wycliffe, YWAM, & Other Evangelical Groups to Take Part in Roman Catholic-Endorsed Global Event in 2020

This week, we received a letter to the editor that alerted us to plans for a "2020 Global Year of the Bible." As you read the information below, please keep in mind, Lighthouse Trails does not oppose the idea that "billions" of people in the world could potentially read the Bible. Of course not! The underlying and significant story here is the ecumenical, "let's-all-come-together-no-matter-what" aspect and the unspoken but obvious objective " to "engage in a global conversation" about the Bible in order to draw followers into specific belief systems.

The Basic Premise: From the very beginning, the dominionist aspect of the "apostolic-prophetic" movement, or NAR, was openly admitted by its primary architect Peter Wagner (who actually coined the term "New Apostolic Reformation" when he was looking for a term to describe his new movement): 'Our theological bedrock is what has been known as DOMINION THEOLOGY. . . our divine mandate is TO DO WHATEVER IS NECESSARY, by the power of the Holy Spirit, TO RETAKE THE DOMINION of God's creation which Adam forfeited to Satan in the Garden of Eden. It is nothing less than seeing God's kingdom coming and His will being done here on earth as it is in heaven. This includes the need TO GOVERN apolitically, as well as to embrace spiritual warfare techniques that neutralize the control of our adversary within the functional and TERRITORIAL SPHERES OF AUTHORITY to which we have been assigned. To do this, we know that we must be in communion, we must receive revelation, and we must apostolically and prophetically proclaim that revelation."

Jonathan Cahn's current number one best-selling book,[6] The Oracle: The Jubilean Mysteries Unveiled , begins with a chapter entitled "The Mystery." Indeed, the word mystery or mysteries is a key repeated word in this book, perhaps only second to the word "vision." The author speaks of many ancient and modern "mysteries" surrounding the Jewish nation and the land of Israel-that purportedly are all mystically linked to the "Jubilean mystery" (mentioned in the subtitle of the book)-which Cahn "unveils" through The Oracle as he connects all of these so-called mysteries together with world history, Hebraic gematria , cherry-picked Scriptures, imaginary visions, and fantasy storytelling.The book is written in a fictional format, giving the author great license to conjure up fake visions with made-up interpretations, and then connect them to carefully selected and isolated Bible verses, in order to make it all appear valid and truthful to the unsuspecting reader. This pattern becomes a troubling mixture that will soon become apparent.
